El Paso Mexican Grill opened the first week of December. They are located directly across from Best Buy between Wings-To-Go and the new AT&T Store. When you're in the mood for some great Mexican food you need to stop by the Mex Grill. Nini's Treasures recently opened their new store at The Highlands. When you're looking for that very special gift item it would be worth your while to check out this long-time local favorite. Nini's offers the largest selection of Brighton products in the tri-state area. They are located on the backside of the West Liberty University building near the Marquee Cinemas. Nini's business hours are Mon.-Sat. from 10am-9pm and Sunday from 11am-5pm. Be sure to stop by. You'll be glad you did.

Wings-To-Go becomes the third restaurant to open in the past couple of months. With a history spanning back to 1985 when the first Wings-To-Go opened near Dover Air Base in Delaware they now have franchisees in 80 locations nationwide. Wings come with your choice of 20 different sauces. Beware of the Homicide® sauce... it's their HOTTEST! Besides wings they also serve up ribs, fresh tenders, buffalo shrimp, panini sandwiches, fresh salads, desserts and much more.

Quaker Steak & Lube opened to the public on Sept. 2nd. "The Lube's" first restaurant was established in Sharon, PA in 1974 by partners George "Jig" Warren III and Gary "Moe" Meszaros. From that first converted gas-station they have since expanded to 36 locations in 13 states. The racing decor and laid-back atmosphere offers a great setting to kick back and enjoy what "the Lube" has become noted for... chicken wings! Their sauces are rated in Scoville Heat Units (SHU) with the "Atomic" sauce rated at 150,000 SHU's (made from habanero chile) and sliding all the way down to a much milder Ranch sauce at 90 SHU's. Every Tuesday they offer an "All You Can Eat Wings" special. If wings aren't your thing (...huh?) they also serve up char-grilled steaks, burgers, ribs, salads and much more.

The Fusion Japanese Steakhouse opened to delighted patrons in late August. The restaurant offers an extensive menu featuring Hibachi, Fresh Sushi and a Fusion Asian menu comprised of Singapore, Maylaysian, Indonesian and Thai entrees. They also offer appetizers as well as daily drink specials. Happy hour is 4pm - 7pm Sun. - Thur. The Fusion Steakhouse opens for lunch Mon. - Fri. from 11am - 2:30pm. Dinner hours are 4pm - 10pm. Indigo Joe's Sports Pub & Restaurant is the newest addition to the Town Center at The Highlands. Owned and operated by local partners Patti Hoskins, Lori McGlumphy and Tom Coram the family-friendly eatery and sports pub opens daily at 11am. Outfitted with a mix of large and smaller screen tv's for the sports enthusiast they also offer a mouth-watering menu that will appeal to anyone. From signature salads and chicken wings, char-grilled sandwiches and Certified Angus Beef® steaks and burgers to their back back ribs Indigo Joe's offers not only a tantalizing menu but a fun place to hang out with family and friends.

Best Buy opened their new store at The Highlands on Friday, Oct. 24th. The first 100 customers received $20 Best Buy gift cards. Known for their large selection of computers, software, car stereos, mobile phones, digital tv's, etc. the company currently operates 962 stores throughout the U.S. They're sure to be a big hit locally as the closest Best Buy previously was at South Hills in Pittsburgh.

The new Marquee Cinemas opened in early August '08. Their 50,000 sq. ft. cinema complex boasts 14 screens featuring the latest movie releases in digital format. Marquee Cinemas, Inc. began operations in 1979 in Rainelle, WV. Owned and operated by Curtis McCall, the privately-held company currently operates 19 theatres in 10 states. Ticket prices are just $6.00 for the first show before 2pm Mon.-Thur. and $6.50 for all shows before 6pm.

rue21 and Justice are some of the latest stores to open at the The Highlands Power Center. rue21 specializes in trendy fashions, footwear and accessories for young women and men. Headquarted in Warrendale, Pa. the privately-owned company currently operates approximately 350 stores. Justice is a great place to find fashions, accessories and lifestyle items for tweens (girls ages 7-14). Tween Brands, Inc. based in New Albany, Ohio operates 257 Justice stores throughout the United States.

Bath & Body Works and Old Navy opened their new stores this past spring. B&BW specializes in fragrant lotions, bath items, personal care items and home fragrances. B&BW is a division of the Limited Brands based in New Albany, Ohio and has over 1600 retail stores nationwide. Old Navy began operating in 1994 in northern California They've since grown to over 1000 stores throughout the U.S. and Canada. Old Navy targets the fashion oriented yet price conscious teen and young adult market.
